SembCorp lands P&G award

CHENNAI: The city-based SembCorp Logistics has landed the prestigious Pinnacle Award from Procter & Gamble (India) for achieving globally benchmarked standards in good manufacturing practices (GMP). The award is a global one given to honour manufacturing and distribution centres, owned by P&G or its associates. It is conferred on the one who achieves 85 per cent or more in GMP audits. SembCorp India has been given award for achieving 88 per cent in 1999-2000 at P&G's Bhopal distribution centre, says a company release.

ITSpace.com's funding plans

CHENNAI: Microland promoted ITSpace.com, a dedicated e-commerce portal for the infotech industry, plans to raise about $10 million in the first round of venture capital funding by the end of this month. According to sources, ITSpace.com is holding talks with News Corp., ICICI and GE Capital for the funding. News Corp. is likely to provide nearly 60 per cent of the amount and the balance will come from ICICI and GE Capital.

Navayuga groups pact with U.S. firm

HYDERABAD: Navayuga Infotech (NIT), of the Rs. 200 crore Hyderabad based Navayuga Group, has entered into a long term partnership with the U.S. based WhiteLight Inc, under which the latter will outsource automatic regression testing (ART) needs to NIT. WhiteLight offers the analytical application server which is the foundation for a class of applications that support integrated decision processing (IDP). The IDP in turn allows business users to predict the outcome of decision and implement them-thereby going a step beyond merely providing access to critical information.

Chennai infotech co. tieups

CHENNAI: Panchtatva Infotech, promoted by Rekha group, which is in the textile business, has entered into strategic alliances with Onyx Consultants Ltd. of the U.K., Evanston Trading of the U.S., Datura Holdings of the Netherlands and Tyms Enterprise Inc of the U.S. In a release, Mr. B.S. Suman Aggarwal, Managing Director, said these companies would offer Panchtatva software solutions in the industry domain of consumer goods, hospitals, retail and commodity trading.

To grade and rank the top sites, bestindiansites.com, has considered host of parameters before ranking these sites.
