HKIPL launches Sign plus

CHENNAI: H. K. Industries (P) Limited has launched `sign plus,' an electronix cardex system for authentication and verification of signatures. Sign Plus is configured for various applications. The unique property of sign plus is its capability of storing one million specimen signatures in its hard disk which can be retrieved on the desktop along with the photograph of the person.

WebWiz awards 2000

CHENNAI: WebWiz awards, a recognition of talent in web site content, utility, design and popularity, is being sponsored by Intel and instituted by Brandwidth in association with Arthur Anderson. It features 19 categories based on subjects like lifestyle, cricket/sports, films, health, humour, kids/youth, music, education and the like. Each category has two awards - Judge's Award and People's Choice Award. The award ceremony will be hosted at St. Andrews Auditorium, Mumbai on July 1. The online polling is expected to continue till the closing date (June 24), according to a press release.

CyberBills Inc. enters India

CHENNAI: CyberBills Inc., pioneers of electronic bill management, has announced its entry into India with the setting up of a state-of-the-art integrated development centre in Hyderabad. Based in Santa Clara, CyberBills is the first company to offer total bill management service over the Internet, according to a release. Launched with an initial investment of $1 million, CyberBills India Pvt. Ltd. will focus on the development of software solutions for electronic bill presentment and payment using the Internet.
