OVER the weekend, there will be a Solar Eclipse in the sign of Cancer. This event is basically a very intense New Moon, which is the time of the month when the Sun and Moon are in the same sign. The New Moon symbolises new beginnings, and you can look to the sign of the New Moon to determine the area of interest for the month. Cancer is a water sign and rules our emotions and our intuition.

The New Moon in Cancer is an excellent time to get in touch with our feminine, nurturing side, which may have been lying dormant or neglected. PAPASAMYAM refers to equal degree of Dosha. This equalness cannot be worked out accurately in practice. Dosha caused by the placement of Mars, Saturn, the Sun, Rahu or Kethu must be carefully evaluated taking into account all factors and features in each of the horoscopes to be matched. For Dosha by Mars there are many exceptions. In a girl's horoscope, the 8th House is crucial to the longevity of her husband. Guru's aspect can mitigate Doshas. In short, it will be best not to go by rules of thumb like Papasamyam.
