Bill put in cold storage
By J. Venkatesan
NEW DELHI, JUNE. 28. The Centre has taken a major decision not to
implement the controversial Christian Marriage Bill 2000 in view
of criticism for the Bill from the Christian community.
The Government is of the view that at a time when attacks on
Christians and their institutions are taking place in many parts
of the country, it is not desirable to push through the Bill.
