NEW DELHI, JUNE 30. The Congress(I) president, Ms. Sonia Gandhi,
today appointed Mr. V.S. Koujalagi as the party's Karnataka unit
president. He replaces the Chief Minister, Mr. S.M. Krishna. A
former Speaker of the Vidhan Soudha and an MLA, Mr. Koujalagi is
a Lingayat from Belgaum district.
