Gupta new chairman of LIC

MUMBAI, JUNE 30. The Life Insurance Corporation of India Managing Director, Mr. Y. P. Gupta, has taken over as Chairman of the corporation today consequent to the retirement of Mr. G. Krishnamurthy, (Chairman) and Mr. G. P. Kohli (Managing Director).

Mr. Gupta had joined the corporation as a direct recruit officer in 1964, LIC said in a release here.
