By Our Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD, JULY 1 The city committee of the All-India Democratic
Women's Association on Saturday organised a signature campaign
against the increased power tariff. A large number of women
employed in industries appended their signatures to the banners
put up by the organisation.
While demanding withdrawal of the increased tariff, the committee
said in a statement that a programme to collect signatures in
trains would be taken up on July 3 and 4. The signatures would be
submitted to the Governor, Dr.C.Rangarajan, in the second week of
this month.
The statement said activists of the association would launch mass
hunger strike in front of all mandal offices in the city on July
7.
