Auto driver returns Rs. 60,000

BANGALORE, JULY 4. An autorickshaw driver of the City, who found
a suitcase with Rs. 60,000 in his vehicle, handed it over to
police on Monday.
Suresh, the autorickshaw driver, had picked up a passenger from
B.V.K.Iyengar Road to Jayanagar at 4 p.m. After he left the
passenger, Suresh realised that the passenger had left behind the
suitcase, which he handed over to Cubbon Park police.
Meanwhile, the passenger in the autorickshaw, Mr. M.Mukherjee of
West Bengal, who had come to Bangalore for the CET counselling of
his son, lodged a complaint with Jayanagar police station.
When the suitcase was opened in the presence of Mr. Mukherjee,
Rs. 60,000 in cash was found in it apart from visa and other
documents. The police have commended Suresh for his honesty.
