AGP demands more autonomy
GUWAHATI, JULY 9. The ruling Asom Gana Parishad(AGP) today
demanded more autonomy for the States claiming that this alone
can strengthen the federal structure of the country. ``AGP is
demanding decentralisation and more powers to the State
Governments so that proper development can be ensured'', the
party spokesman and former Union Minister, Birendranath Baishya,
told reporters here.
