It's all about variety

http://www.snipersparadise.com

THIS IS certainly one of the weirdest sites. According to the 'Mission Statement' on the site, "The sniping profession is misunderstood by many. News reporters have always mislabelled a crazed gunman as a 'sniper', darkening the profession's name. Through the pages seen here, I hope to show that true long-range shooting, military sniping and police sharpshooting is an art and a science."

While we are willing to buy the assertion that professionally- trained sharpshooters do indeed have a role to play in the military and the police forces, what's with the witty slogans that the site designer includes?

"The careful application of terror is another form of communication." And how about this: "Don't run away. You'll only die tired!" Hmmm. There are a lot of weird subcultures on the Web, but this one is extra-strange, and just a little scary, too.

http://www.jokesandhumor.com

One of the most harmless ways to waste your time on the Web can be by reading jokes!! If you agree with that, then this is a good site for you. The folks who created this site have done a pretty good job in making it easy for us to while our time away. Jokes have been categorised into various segments from which we can pick and choose. Some of the categories include the usual blonde jokes and lawyer jokes to the more recent Clinton jokes and even a section on real life jokes. Join their mailing list at your own risk because there is a good possibility that your address may be given to other companies that may flood your mail box with unsolicited junk mail.

One of the best features of this site is the ability to rate a joke after you read it, which over time creates a pretty good rating system for jokes.

The best-rated jokes are on top of the list, which helps you save time by avoiding the lousy ones. Hey, but wasn't this site supposed to help you waste your time?

http://www.nondairy.com/slow/wave.cgi

Do you like to dream? Do you like to share your dreams with others?

Well, then this is a site for you! Jesse Reklaw draws a weekly comic strip on the Web called Slow Wave, based entirely on dreams e-mailed to him by readers. You can submit your dream(s) through a "Non Psychic Dream Transfer" form from the web site.

You also have to provide a brief description of yourself (e.g.: hair colour and length, age, sex and interesting features such as glasses, false teeth, monkey tail, etc.) so that Jesse can try to be faithful to the audience.

Seriously, the drawings are meticulous and detailed. If you take a look at the archived "dreams" this thing gets pretty interesting.

http://www.thehungersite.com

The concept is very simple! Click a button and donate food to the starving people. The Hunger Site is the world's first "click-to- donate" site where more than 65 million visitors have donated more than 7,700 metric tonnes of food to help feed the hungry. They have done this by visiting 'The Hunger Site' daily and by simply clicking a button.

The donations of staple food, paid for by 'The Hunger Site's sponsors, are distributed to the world's hunger hot-spots by the United Nations World Food Programme.

http://www.free-email-address.com

Are you trying to get a free e-mail address on the web? If so you will notice that there are several choices out there. It's hard for someone who is new to the Web to figure out which is the best choice.

Well, the Web has the answer for that problem also. What this site tries to do is to give you a list of free e-mail sites along with a snapshot of their features so that you can decide which one to choose.

http://www.internetemaillist.com

This is an incredibly useful site even for those who have been using e-mail for ages. This site helps you choose an e-mail service provider from over 3047 free e-mail domains.

It helps you choose, based on the sort of features that are important to you and also features a good Frequently Asked Questions Section that breaks down much of the confusing jargon that the new user has to deal with (POP3, the "@" sign..etc).
