VS blames Joseph

By Our Staff Reporter

KOLLAM, JULY 16. The LDF convener, Mr. V. S. Achuthanandan, has blamed the Education Minister, Mr. P. J. Joseph, for the hullabaloo over the Plus Two issue.

Talking to presspersons here today, Mr. Achuthanandan said the undertaking given by Mr. Joseph in the Assembly to completely delink pre- degree from colleges this year itself, even before the LDF could arrive at a decision in this connection, was the reason for the muddle.

While the general view within the LDF was to go in for a phase- by-phase delinking of the pre-degree stream, Mr. Joseph, under an impression that the LDF would recognise it, went ahead with giving the undertaking in the Assembly on delinking the PDC and introducing the Plus Two course this year itself, he said.
