HC dismisses Plus Two review petitions

KOCHI, JULY 26.A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court today dismissed petitions requesting the Court to review its July 7 judgment which directed the Government of Kerala to quash the list, released by it, of schools which were allotted Plus Two courses.

The review petitions, filed by Sister Vivian, Corporate Manager of St. Teresa's Convent, Ernakulam, and Mr. B. Abdul Rahiman, Manager of B.A.R. High School, Kasaragod district, were dismissed by the Chief Justice, Mr. A.V.Savant and Mr. Justice K.S. Radhakrishnan.

The Court pointed out that it had ascertained from the Additional Advocate-General that the time schedule indicated in the operative part of the judgment has been adhered to and the judgment has been complied with. According to the Additional Advocate-General, the court ruled, the list of schools which are eligible for Plus Two during the current academic year is being finalised.

The Court also said that there has been no appeal to the Supreme Court by any of the parties affected by the High Court judgment. The Court also pointed out that the review petitioners did not appear before the Court and make their submissions in spite of the Court's directive by way of paper publication.
