Portal for collective buying
By Our Staff Reporter
CHENNAI, JULY 26. When buyers across the country aggregate their
orders, their bargaining power goes up. Enter BuyAsOne.com, a
business-to-consumer e-commerce portal. This site belongs to the
Bangalore-based Synesis Online and promises to provide the right
platform for group buying. Simply put, the portal will facilitate
better deals with manufacturers.
Launching the online shopping portal here, Ms. Hema Parameswaran,
Chief Executive Officer of BuyAsOne.com, said the site would
bring individual buyers in far-flung places closer and get them
to buy collectively. Unlike other portals, BuyAsOne.com was not
in the eyeballs game. It was based on a strong revenue and
commerce models and would certainly be a long-term player, she
claimed.
