Flood havoc in North, N-E
NEW DELHI, AUG 6. The flood situation in Bihar and the north east
turned grim today. Army choppers airdropped relief material in
worst-hit Sitamarhi, Sheohar and Muzaffarpur districts of Bihar
for the second day today.
The Dibang valley of Arunachal Pradesh turned grim with flood
waters cutting off district headquarters Anini as a
fresh death took the toll to seven. With one more death reported
in Assam, the current wave of floods have so far claimed 18
lives.
