4 MLAs join TDP

HYDERABAD, AUG. 9. A Congress(I) MLA and three Independents moved over to the Telugu Desam on the opening day of the monsoon session of the Assembly on Wednesday.

Mr. M. Narasimhulu, Congress(I) MLA from Alair, who has distanced himself from that party for some months now, attended today's TDLP meeting. Mrs. P. J. Amrutha Kumari, who won as Congress rebel from Palakonda (Srikakulam district), Mr. S. Veerabhadra Rao (Pithapuram) and Mr. K. Veera Raghava Rao (Penugonda), independents, have also joined the party.The announcement by the Chief Minister, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, at the TDLP meet was received with applause. It was stated that Mr. Yerneni Raja Ramachander alias Rajababu from Kaikalur would also be admitted after consulting party seniors in Krishna and neighbouring West Godavari districts.

Party sources said they will enjoy the status of associate members of the TDLP.
