ISLAMABAD, AUG. 13. Pakistani pop singer, Nazia Hassan, died in
London today after a protracted illness, NNI news agency
reported. She was 35 and had been suffering from cancer.
Nazia sprang into stardom with her Indian film Qurbani song Aap
jaisa koyi meri zindagi mein aaye. The song was followed by
another hit Disco deewane which took the young generation of the

The true fame came Nazia and her brother, Zohaib Hassan's way
with their electrifying songs on the album `Star'.
Nazia and Zohaib, who formed a perfect duo together, then
travelled to Pakistan in the early 80s and released their first
volume `Young Tarang'. The volume contained famous songs such as
Dum dum dee dee dum dum.
