Officers to go on mass leave today
PATNA, AUG. 23. All the 3,200 gazetted officers under the fold of
the Bihar Administrative Service Association (BASA) will go on
mass casual leave for seven days from tomorrow to press for their
demands.
The BASA president, Mr. W. N. Singh told newsmen that the
association decided on this as talks with the Chief Secretary,
Mr. V. S. Dubey, did not make any headway today.
Mr. Singh threatened that if their demands were not met by August
30, the association would launch an indefinite strike from August
31. Their demands included revised pay scales and other
allowances.
