End strike, says Paswan
By Sandeep Dikshit
NEW DELHI, AUG 25. The Union Communications Minister, Mr. Ram
Vilas Paswan, has called upon the three recognised telecom
federations to call off their proposed indefinite strike from
September 6. He said all possible steps would be taken to ensure
financial viability of the proposed corporation and the rights of
the employees with regard to pay and pension will be fully
protected. Mr. Paswan also said that all pending issues will be
resolved soon. Meanwhile the two- day telecom strike called by
the pro-CPI(M) unions ended today with no untoward incident.
