Young World contest from today

BANGALORE, AUG. 25. To commemorate a decade of YOUNG WORLD, The
Hindu is organising an inter-school literary and cultural
competition from Saturday.
Billed as Young World Fest, the competitions consists of
preliminary events followed by a grand finale. Schoolchildren
participating in the contest have been grouped into three zones.
While the preliminary round for central zone will be held at
Goodwill High School on August 26, August 27, September 23 and
September 24, the events for the south zone would be held at PTA
school, Ashoka Pillar, Jayanagar on September 9, September 10,
September 30 and October 1.
The preliminary events for the north zone would be held at
Seshadripuram Educational Trust, Seshadripuram, on September 16,
September 17, October 7 and October 8.
The students are categorised into junior (class five, six and
seven) and senior (class eight to 10). The preliminary events
consists of elocution (junior), debate (senior) and quiz (junior
and senior). The finals will be held at Guru Nanak Bhavan on
November 10 and November 11.
