New SSP for Pondicherry

PONDICHERRY, AUG. 25. Mr. Anil Shukla, an IPS officer, has been promoted to the senior scale of IPS and has been posted as Senior Superintendent of Police vice Dr. M. Ponnaian, who was relieved for posting in the National Capital Territory of New Delhi.

Mrs. Shalini Singh, an IPS officer, presently on deputation to Pondicherry Textiles Corporation as the Joint Managing Director, has also been promoted to senior scale. She will continue as the JMD of the Corporation.

The Home Department has also issued orders promoting Inspectors, Mr. D. Balaraman and Mr. T. Latchaprabhu, as Superintendents on ad hoc basis. While Mr. Balaraman is posted Commandant of Pondicherry Armed Police, Mr. Latchaprabhu is the SP in charge of Home Guard wing.
