CGU-Birla Life, NIS Sparta in strategic alliance

NEW DELHI, SEPT. 20. CGU-Birla Life, the life insurance joint venture between CGU and the Hindustan Times, and NIS Sparta today entered into a strategic alliance in the life insurance sector. NIS Sparta is Asia's leading training and consultancy organisation of the NIIT group and commenced operations in 1991 as a strategic business unit of NIIT. In 1996, NIS Sparta was incorporated as a separate company.

As per the strategic alliance entered into today, the two organisations would set up an academy called CGU-Birla-NIS Sparta Insurance Academy to identify and induct sales agents and unit managers for CGU-Birla life insurance venture, train them to meet business goals and put in place several support systems to motivate and retain employees.
