Suharto acquitted

SINGAPORE, SEPT. 28. A Jakarta court today threw out the
Government's anti-corruption case against the former President,
Gen. Suharto.
In a surprise action, the judges also released Gen. Suharto from
house arrest, sparking demonstrations by reformist students, who
clashed with the police in Jakarta.
