Sasikiran, Harikrishna share lead

KOZHIKODE, SEPT. 28. Sasikiran and P. Harkrishna moved to the joint second position at the end of the eighth round of the World junior chess championship at Yeravan, Armenia.

Both the Indians posted wins and are on 5.5 points. With five rounds remaining, along with five other players, they are now just half-a-point behind the leaders Lazaro Bruzon of Cuba and Kamil Milton of Poland.

Sasikiran, seeded second, beat Varuzhan Akobian of the host country, while Harikrishna got the better of Spas Kozhuharov of Bulgaria.Surya Shekhar Ganguly made it a perfect day for the Indian boys, beating Sweden's Emanuel Berg.
