Neil Simon comedy
IT'S ON. The LTS play this year `God's Favourite' is playing on
at Museum theatre since Friday. The final show will start at 7
p.m. today.
The one and half hour long Neil Simon comedy is directed by
Loyola's good old favourite Michael Muthu, or simply Mike.
Actually, Mike's involvement in itself can be called a part of
the LTS tradition over the years.
Yohan Lamoury plays Joe Benjamin, `God's Favourite' - the
adaptation of the Biblical Job. The tall Jeetu Jackson plays the
lively Sidney Lipton, the messenger from God with the message
that God wants to test Joe's faith and hence wants him to
renounce God.
What follows is a roller-coaster of laughs, with a serious
undercurrent of religion and faith. The students however insist
that the play has nothing to do with morals or any sort of
preaching.
Remember, Arjun who played Faheem Moosa's room-mate in last
year's LTS play, `Star Spangled Girl'. He's in this one too.
Don't miss Arjun's cameo performance as David, the forever drunk
son, the non- believer.
