Krishan Kant to attend Sirimavo funeral
COLOMBO, OCT. 13. The Vice-President, Mr. Krishan Kant, will
represent India at the funeral of the former Sri Lankan Prime
Minister, Sirimavo Bandaranaike, tomorrow.
Indian High Commission sources here said Mr. Krishan Kant,
accompanied by his wife will reach Colombo tomorrow morning. He
will then proceed to Horagalle, 35 k.m. from here where the
funeral will take place.
The President, Mr. K. R. Narayanan, and the Prime Minister, Mr.
A. B. Vajpayee, have already sent their condolences. Meanwhile,
several world leaders have started arriving to attend the
funeral.
