New member in Travancore family

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, NOV. 24. The royal family of erstwhile
Travancore today got a new member with the birth of a girl child
to Ms. Lekha Parvathi Bayi, the adopted daughter of Ms. Pooyam
Tirunal Gouri Parvathi Bayi.
Ms. Lekha is married to Mr. Anup Kumar Varma of the erstwhile
Kochi royal family, who is a senior management executive in New
Delhi. The baby girl was born under the star Swathi at the
Uthradam Tirunal Hospital here at 1-30 p.m.
Ms. Lekha is the daughter of Mr. Kerala Varma and Ms. Ambika of
the Mavelikkara Utsavamadom Palace. She had been adopted by Ms.
Gouri Parvathi Bayi, the niece of Uthradam Tirunal Marthanda
Varma, the present head of the Travancore family, in 1994.
