Militants kill 12 in Assam

GUWAHATI, NOV. 26. Twelve persons were killed by militants in Assam - eight in Kokrajhar district and four in Nalbari district. Suspected ULFA militants killed four Bihari Muslims in two separate incidents in Nalbari district on Saturday night. At Jagra village, militants fired at the house of a family of quilt makers killing three persons. In a similar raid in Kumrighata village, one Mr. Suleiman Ali was killed and his son Rafiq was injured.

Suspected NDFB extremists gunned down eight villagers - five Bodos and three Santhals - who had gone to the Lungsung forest in Kokrajhar district for collecting firewood on Friday.
