MAARS implements solution for Cavin Kare

CHENNAI: Maars Software International, specialising in implementing enterprise solutions including enterprise application integration, has recently completed implementing a distribution management solution for the Chennai-based Cavin Kare, an FMCG company. The solution would enable Cavin Kare to closely monitor the movement of goods and tune its distribution plans accordingly, says a company release.

ISBS commences depository operation

CHENNAI: Integrated Stock Broking Services (ISBS), a part of the Chennai-based Integrated Finance Company group, has become a depository participant (DP) with the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) and commenced depository operation. ISBS' entry into depository is to offer a one-stop service to all investment needs of its clients, mainly individual investors, according to a press release.

U.S. firm in pact with Compaq

CHENNAI: SlashSupport.com, Inc., a group company of the U.S.- based Cybernet Software Systems Inc., (CSS), has entered into a strategic alliance with Compaq Computer Corporation to provide customer support solutions for Compaq's proliant servers hosting the iPlant suite of applications. The alliance will help deliver effective and reliable technical support to Compaq customers who run the iPlanet suite of products on Compaq proliant servers.

IDBI Bank opens 50th branch

CHENNAI: IDBI Bank has opened its 50th branch at Udaipur. It now has a presence in 36 cities spread across India, says a company release. The Chennai branch organised a builders and promoters meet here recently. It has taken many initiatives in realigning the bank towards retail business. The initiatives include opening of offsite ATMs, retail business, Smart Cards and WAP enabling banking.

Sabeer Bhatia co-chairman of Navin.com

NEW YORK: Founder of Hotmail, Mr. Sabeer Bhatia, has been made co-chairman of Navin.com, which provides Internet-based voice messaging services worldwide. Mr. Suhas Patil is the other chairman. The company said as co-chairman, Mr. Bhatia would play a key role in setting its future course and in product development. Without personal computers or Internet access, members place local phone calls and exchange messages globally with family, friends and associates.
