Punjab, BSF post wins
JAMMU, NOV. 30. Olympian Baljit Singh continued with his good
form and struck twice as Punjab continued its winning spree by
beating Patiala 2-1 in the 60th senior National hockey
championship here on Thursday. Sarab Jha netted for Patiala.
In another match, BSF beat All India Electricity Board (AIEB) 3-
1. Amit Lakra put BSF ahead in the seventh minute through a field
goal. Peter Tirkey and Shinu Hernez struck in the 23rd and 4oth
minutes to make it 3-0. AIEB reduced the margin in the 59th
minute when T. Sher Khan netted.
