Cash robbed from businessman

CHENNAI, DEC. 2. A four-member autorickshaw gang attacked a
businessman at Jayaram Street in Saidapet and escaped with about
Rs. 15,000 last night.
According to police, the victim Mr. Subramani was returning home
after closing his shop when he was targetted by the gang. Two
members of the gang were arrested today, police added.
In another incident, two persons posing as TNEB workers gained
entry into a house at Seethapathy Nagar in Velacheri a few days
ago and escaped with valuables.
In the city outskirts, 31 television sets were reported stolen
from a container lorry parked in a television company godown in
Redhills on Thursday.
Police are probing into the complaint.
