The green resort

THE SERENITY is all pervasive. Surrounded by trees all around, it looks as if green is splashed on a canvas. As you walk across along with your dear ones through the narrow passage, the cool breeze engulfs you.

Well, this tranquil atmosphere is not somewhere in the deep forests but a few kilometers away from the concrete jungle called Hyderabad. In the burgeoning holiday resorts on the outskirts of the city, this stands out purely on the basis of its natural foliage and the large acreage.

`Srinidhi Joy `n' Joy Clubs and Resorts Ltd' offers this packed with a host of luxurious facilities near Ghatkesar on the Warangal highway. A drive to this place from the city takes an hour but one gets to enjoy comfort of the luxurious A/C and non- A/C cottages the moment you land there.

A children's park, a full-fledged health club, multi-cuisine restaurants, air-conditioned function hall, facilities for games like billiards, tennis and badminton are some of the other attractions at the resort.

As the clear waters of the swimming pool tempt you to take a splash, the garden restaurant fulfills your urge for a treat to the taste buds. "Situated on 18 acres, perhaps it's the biggest resort in the State", says P. Srinivas Reddy, chairman and managing director. He says the club is offering two types of cards - `President Card', which costs a one-time payment of Rs. 24,000, and `Executive Card', which, too, costs the same but can be paid in 50 instalments.

While President Card holders are entitled for seven days of free stay in any of the nine Srinidhi resorts coming up in various parts of the State, the Executive Card holders are entitled for three days of stay. Reddy says work is on at Tirupati, Nellore and Shirdi resorts where they are likely to be completed by next year.

This resort club has affiliation with various clubs in all the major towns, including the pilgrim towns of Shirdi and Tirupati, and members can avail themselves of the facilities there.
