High alert in U.P.
LUCKNOW, DEC. 4. Police and paramilitary forces were put on high
alert in Uttar Pradesh, especially in Ayodhya, Mathura and
Varanasi in view of the anniversary of the demolition of disputed
structure in Ayodhya on December 6, official sources said today.
All sensitive districts have been asked to maintain strict vigil
though there are no specific intelligence reports of apprehension
of a breach of the peace, the Principal Secretary (Home), Mr.
Hemendra Kumar, said.
