By Our Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI, DEC. 7. The Navy today said the security guard injured
in the `shootout' at the residence of the Chief of Naval Staff,
Admiral Sushil Kumar, has ``amended his statement.''
He told the naval board of inquiry, that the he had been
suffering from severe depression on account of a family feud and
had decided to commit suicide.
But, in order to guard his family interests, ``he claims to have
fabricated evidence of intrusion.''
