Third straight win for Hyderabad

CHENNAI, DEC. 8. Hyderabad defeated Kerala by 64 runs at the ICL- Gurunanak ground here on Friday to register its third successive win in the Subbiah Pillai Trophy tournament.

Electing to bat, Hyderabad, with fine contributions from Daniel Manohar (60, 79b, 4x4), Vanka Pratap (55, 75b, 4x4), and Vinay Kumar (53 not out, 48b, 3x4) made a healthy score of 272 for seven in 50 overs. Left-hander Ghouse Baba (20, 8b) provided the thrust towards the end, striking left-arm spinner Sreekumar Nair for three successive sixes in the 48th over.
