EC approves Paswan's party

NEW DELHI, DEC. 9. The Election Commission has approved the name of the newly-formed party of Mr. Ram Vilas Paswan as ``Lok Janshakti Party'' in place of Janshakti. Mr. Paswan has named Mr. Ramesh Prasad Singh, an MLC of Bihar as vice-president and Capt. Bhopal Singh from U.P. as general secretary of the party.

According to a party release here today, the two national secretaries will be Ms. Meera Chakravarti from West Bengal and Mr. Rama Kishore Singh from Bihar. Mr. Rajeev Ranjan has been appointed as national president of the youth wing of the Lok Janshakti.
