QUERIES ANSWERED

To what extend may Rahu and Kethu in the Seventh affect the native's marriage life? Are there remedies?

S. Kuppusamy, Urappakkam.

VARAHAMIHIRA'S "Brihad Jathaka" does not mention much about Rahu or Kethu. Both are nodes, also called "Shadow Planets".

If Kalathra Karaka Venus, and the lord of the Seventh, are well- placed in a horoscope and Lagna and Lagna lord are strong, Rahu or Kethu in the 7th or the 8th, need not be worried about. Kethu placed in the 7th in a lady's horoscope did not affect her happiness in marriage - she married a gentleman devoted to Vedic ways of life, and is blessed with two children.

However, to mitigate the feared influences of Rahu or Kethu in the 7th or the 8th, Lakshmi Narasimha, Durga, and Ganapathi may be worshipped.
