CCS Infotech launches e-group portal

By Our Corporate Reporter

CHENNAI, DEC. 10. CCS Infotech, engaged in software development, manufacturing PCs and IT consultancy services, has launched an e- group portal, a community portal where people with identical goals can subscribe and interact with members of the same group. Subscribers can download the site for casual viewing or exchange information. Addressing presspersons here recently, Mr. M. A. Hasan Abdul Kader, said NRI consultants, Bangkok, use this product to access information for their portal Kuwaitsamachar.com.

The company is also developing a B2B portal for Saudi Aramco, one of the petroleum companies in Saudi. CCS, along with GIT Saudi, is one of the vendors for the project. The project is expected to be implemented by the end of January next.

Besides, a PC shopping portal, a one stop buy, starting from MNC brands to the assembled PCs, and education and recruitment portal for its client, college2jobs.com, are being developed by the company.

As part of its future plans, the company is foraying into the development of B2B labs. Negotiations are under way to build a dedicated offshore development centre for some European software services companies.

CCS, which has a branch office in the U.K., is also setting up a software development centre there to provide offsite consultancy. For European operations, the company plans to expand the manpower base by March next.
