CM to head panel on beautification plan for city

HYDERABAD, DEC. 11. The Chief Minister, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu,
formed a committee consisting of the Home Minister, Municipal
Administration Minister, Major Industries Minister and R&B
Minister as its convenor to supervise the city beautification
plan for the ensuing Partnership Summit - 2001 in the city which
is likely to be attended by top leaders and industrialists from
60 countries.
At a review meeting here on Monday, he said all the roads would
be given a facelift for the summit. He also directed the
departments of industries, tourism, information technology and
transport to be ready with the projects to be positively
grounded.
He said the Government was planning to invite the President of
India for the inauguration while the Union Ministers for Finance,
Tourism, Surface Transport, Civil Aviation and Urban Development
would participate in the summit.
