Stones arrive in Ayodhya
AYODHYA, DEC. 12. Stones intended for use in the garbhagriha
(sanctum sanctorum) of the controversial Ram temple, which the
Vishwa Hindu Parishad proposes to build at the site of the
demolished Babri mosque here, were unloaded from trucks today
after a ritual puja. The stones, packed in four trucks from
Pindwara in Rajasthan on December 6, arrived in `Karsevakpuram'
last night.
The State media in-charge of the VHP, Mr. Sharad Sharma, told
reporters here that the puja of the stones was conducted by the
in-charge of Karsevakpuram, Prakash Awasthi, workshop in-charge
Brahamswaroop and Girish Bhai Sonpura and Rambabu Agrawal. Mr.
Sharma said the stones to be used in the first floor of the
temple would be ready by March 2001.
