President 'seeks' Cabinet view

NEW DELHI, DEC. 13.The President, Mr. K.R. Narayanan, has sought the view of the Union Cabinet on the controversial Sardar Sarovar Dam and expressed his opinion on it, according to the ``Narmada Bachao Andolan'' leader, Ms. Medha Patkar.

Ms. Patkar said this in reply to media queries about the letter she had written to the President last month seeking his intervention after the recent Supreme Court verdict allowing the dam height to be raised to 90 metres.
