Centre announces senior-level appointments

NEW DELHI, DEC. 13. The Government tonight announced seven senior-level appointments, six of them at the level of Secretary, in an exercise mainly to fill up vacancies caused by superannuation.

Mr. K.B. Saxena, I.A.S., of 1964 Bihar cadre, has been appointed Secretary, Department of Official Language as the present incumbent, Mr. Ashok Kumar, is retiring on December 31, while Mr. S.S. Boparai, IAS, would take over from Mr. Saxena, an official release said.

Mr. K. Kosalaram, IAS, of the 1965 batch belonging to Andhra Pradesh cadre takes over as Secretary, Urban Development, from Mr. N.N. Mookerjee, superannuating on December 31.

Mr. V.Govindarajan (1967 Andhra Pradesh cadre) has been appointed Secretary, Company Affairs taking over from Mr. P.L. Sanjeev Reddy, who superannuates on December 31.

Mr. R. Ramanathan takes over as Chairman, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, in the rank of Secretary taking over from Mr. Arun Kumar who retires this year end.

Mr. Vikram Sood takes over as Secretary from Mr. A.S. Bulat, who retires on December 31, while Mr. S. Sundarajan has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Cabinet Secretariat.
