Award for dancer
THE SRUTI Foundation, Chennai, will present the E. Krishna Iyer
medal for the year 2000, to M. K. Saroja, on December 22, at Sri
Krishna Gana Sabha, prior to the valedictory session of the 20th
Natya Kala conference.
M. K. Saroja, yesteryear Bharatanatyam artiste of renown, has
also been the recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi award and
the Kalaimamani award. ``The septuagenarian richly deserves this
recognition'', says Mr. N. Pattabhiraman of Sruti Foundation.
