Bid to smuggle Indians foiled

BERLIN, DEC. 15. The German border police have foiled attempts to smuggle 26 Indians to Britain and Germany in two separate incidents and have arrested four persons, including two British truckers, in this connection.

Two German youths were picked up by the border guards while they were bringing 19 illegal immigrants, including five Indians, in cars into Germany from the Czech Republic on Thursday evening, a police official said here today.

On Thursday night, the police arrested two British truckers trying to smuggle 21 Indians from Germany to Britain.
