MRF pays 90 p.c. final

CHENNAI, DEC. 22. The directors of MRF recommended a final dividend of 90 per cent for the year ended September 30, 2000. With the two interim dividends of 30 per cent each paid earlier, the total works out to 150 per cent.

Despite worst recessions faced by the tyre industry the company has reported a rise in turnover to Rs. 2,352.18 crores in the year under reference from Rs. 2,308.25 crores. Exports have risen by 14.5 per cent to Rs. 173.29 crores from Rs. 151.29 crores.

The net profit before depreciation and taxation was Rs. 204.18 crores against Rs. 252.32 crores.
