Lashkar identifies suicide squad
By B. Muralidhar Reddy
ISLAMABAD, DEC. 23. The Pakistan-based militant organisation,
Lashkar- e-Taiba, today officially claimed responsibility for the
attack at the Red Fort in New Delhi late on Friday.
The Lashkar spokesman, Mr. Yahya Mujahideen, told The Hindu over
phone from Lahore that two militants from Kashmir, Shabeer Ahmed
and Syed Mohammad Ali, had carried out the attack. ``This is our
first operation against an Indian military installation inside
India. We would continue with such attacks till India decides to
pull out its troops out of the Kashmir region.''
