Call to replace Rabri Devi
Patna, DEC 23 (PTI) Rebels in the ruling RJD in Bihar today
suffered a serious jolt with the party's national working
president and Rajya Sabha member,Mr.Ranjan Prasad Yadav,
rejecting their demand for replacement of Mrs.Rabri Devi with him
as Chief Minister. ``All such demands by aggrieved RJD leaders
are absurd,'' Mr.Yadav told reporters on his arrival from New
Delhi.
His comments Came after mediamen drew attention to the reported
outburst of senior RJD MLA Mr.Ramdas Rai against the party
leadership and his demand seeking an emergency meeting of the RJD
legislature party to replace Mrs.Rabri Devi.
``There is no strength in the utterances of rebels...Any
difference will be settled with coordinated and concerted
efforts,'' he said.
When contacted, the RJD chief, Mr.Laloo Prasad Yadav, said such
demands were being made time and again for the past ten years.
``There is no strength in the so called revolt against Mrs.Rabri
Devi,'' Mr.Yadav said.
