`Conversion melas' denied
AHMEDABAD, DEC. 24. The Gujarat Government today dismissed
reports of heightened activities relating to conversion and re-
conversion in the sensitive districts.
``Additional forces, however, have been deployed to prevent any
untoward incidents,'' the Minister of State for Home and Border
Security, Mr. Haren Pandya, said. There were no reports of any
``conversion melas'' being organised in any part of the State, he
said.
