Sabarimala mishap: list of injured

PATHANAMTHITTA, DEC. 25. All the seriously injured persons in the near-stampede mishap occured between Marakkoottom and Saramkuthi along the Sabarimala trekking path this morning have been shifted from the Government hospital at Sannidhanam to the hospitals at Pathanamthitta and Kottayanm for advanced medical care, official sources at Sabarimala said.

The following are the seriously injured persons who have been admitted to the Kottayam Medical College Hospital: Suresh (34) of Chitoor, Selvaraj (28), Sasi (20), both from Viliyody, Ramakrishnan (40) of Vettiyar Mangattethu Padeettathil in Alappuzha, Shaji (30) of Ooredathu House, Kuthiyathode in Alappuzha and Vijayan (43) of Bodinaickanur in Chennai.

Those who have been admitted to the Pathanamthitta General Hospital are: Sunil (18) of Sooranad, Gopinathan (48) of Sooranad Pathalail house, Sundarambal (55) of Krishnapuram, Sundaravinayaka Kovil, Tamil Nadu, Sivachidambaram (35) of Vellanal Mavattom in Kadalur, P. Renukumar (42) of 18/146 Jagubala Chalkaroorpettah in Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the Sannidhanam hospital sources said the following persons who also were injured in the mishap have been sent to the Pampa General Hospital for taking them to Pathaamthitta by ambulances:

Saravanan (25) from Pondicherry, Sivankutty (10) from Chennai, Saranya. R (6) from Karunagappally, Manoj (21) from Neyytinkara, Vijayakumar (25) from Chennai, Pitchamuthu (43) from Chennai, Radhakrishnan (29) from Aryad in Alappuzha and Rajiv (25) from Kollam.
