Appeal for calm

MUMBAI, DEC. 26. Meanwhile, Mr. Hrithik denied he had made the comment. ``I have never given a TV interview to any channel, stating that I dislike Nepal and its people. It is a figment of imagination of some vested interests. It is really astonishing that people can stoop down to such mischievous deeds to tarnish my image,'' he told PTI here.

In an emotional appeal to the people of Nepal, the actor said ``please do not pay heed to such concocted reports. The fact is I love Nepal as I love India and have tremendous respect for the Nepalese people''.

Mr. Hrithik, who last week married his girl friend, Ms. Suzanne Khan, in Bangalore, is leaving for a foreign destination on Thursday night for shooting of a new movie.
