PM rounds off bash with Chinese meal
NEW DELHI, DEC. 26. The Chinese restaurant at a five-star hotel
here had a surprise VVIP guest last night as the Prime Minister,
Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee, rounded off his 76th birthday
celebrations with a quiet dinner with members of his family and
close friends.
Beginning with `jal jeera', the dinner comprised a large variety
of fish and other Chinese delicacies.
Unperturbed by the steady stream of greetings from other diners
at the restaurant, Mr. Vajpayee spent pleasant moments relishing
the Chinese cuisine.
He was accompanied by his foster daughter, Ms. Namita, son-in-
law, Mr. Ranjan Bhattacharya, and grand-daughter, Ms. Neharika.
They were joined by the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mr.
Pramod Mahajan, the National Security Adviser, Mr. Brajesh
Mishra, and his wife, the PM's private secretary, Mr. Anand
Rajan, and the Joint-Secretary in the PMO, Mr. Ashok Saikia, with
their spouses.
